*All applicants must complete 1 year of high school prior to the start of camp and must be available Monday - Friday between the time frame of 8:00 am -
3:30 pm from late June to early August*
2021 Summer Camp - Counselor in Training (CIT) / Camp Operations CIT
- Typically an applicant who is currently in their first or second year of high school (2020/2021 school year) or someone with little to no previous work experience
General Responsibilities:
- Safety, supervision, and engagement of campers in their assigned group
- Greeting parents and campers upon arrival
- Setting-up and breaking-down recreational equipment used for activities
- Reporting details of accidents/incidents up the chain of command
- Leading and supporting campers
- Disinfecting equipment
General Requirements:
- Be able to lift and carry equipment
- Be a good role model to campers
- Have the desire and stamina to play outdoors all day
- Have an upbeat, engaging personality
- Basic understanding of camp activities and how to engage campers
- Have or be willing to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification if hired
- Comply with COVID-19 safety procedures
2021 Summer Camp - Counselor / Camp Operations

- Reporting details of accidents/incidents up the chain of command
- Leading and supporting both campers and CITs
- Disinfecting equipment

- Have an upbeat, engaging personality
- Basic understanding of camp activities, how to engage campers, leadership, and delegating tasks
- Ability to discipline campers when necessary

General Responsibilities:

Safety, supervision, and engagement of campers, CITs, and Counselors in their assigned group
- Greeting parents and campers upon arrival
- Plan and oversee camper activities
- Providing direct supervision to Head Counselors, Counselors, and CITs in their assigned groups to ensure that staff is prepared and set up for success each day
- Working with the Camp Director to document accidents/incidents and solve issues that arise

- Communicate with parents about camper experiences and report concerns to Camp Director
- Other administrative tasks, as needed
- Ensuring that camp rules are being enforced
- Time Management

- Staying on schedule
- Ensuring that all stations are clean before rotating
- Ensuring that all equipment is stored properly and secured
- Constant communication with Camp Director(s)
- Working with the Camp Director to conduct staff performance evaluations
General Requirements:
- Be a good role model to campers and staff
- Work closely with the Camp Director
- Must have an understanding of camp activities, how to engage campers, leadership, and delegating tasks
- Experience leading and participating in camp activities
- Ability to discipline campers and staff members when necessary
- Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and time management skills
- Have or be willing to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification if hired
- Comply with COVID-19 safety procedures
