DJ comes to the Scotch Plains Department of Parks and Recreation after serving as Superintendent of Recreation for the Township of Union for about 3 years. In his role there, he worked on adding innovative programs and events for residents, as well as initiatives that fostered upgrades to Union's parks and facilities. Prior to leading the Recreation Department in Union, DJ spent 8 years working for the Essex County Parks Department (South Mountain Recreation Complex) serving in many roles. In his final role there, DJ served as the Director of Operations for the Complex. As part of the Essex County Parks System, considered among many as the "Jewel of Essex County," the South Mountain Recreation Complex is home to the Turtle Back Zoo, Codey Arena, Treetop Adventure Course, Safari Mini Golf and Waterfront, and McLoone's Restaurant. During his time there, DJ was actively involved in countless upgrades, development, and construction projects, as well as the logistical management of hundreds of thousands of visitors that have made the Complex what it is today.
Born and raised in South Orange, NJ, DJ attended Seton Hall University and graduated from the W. Paul Stillman School of Business with a double major in Sport Management and Marketing. Currently a resident of Basking Ridge, NJ, DJ is married to his wife, Susan, and has two daughters.

Julie was born and raised in Mountainside, NJ. She graduated from Lock Haven University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Administration and Georgetown University with a Master's Degree in Sports Industry Management #HOYASAXA! Prior to joining the SP Recreation team, Julie served as the General Manager for a youth sports organization in Northern Virginia. Previously, she worked as a Corporate Partnerships Assistant for a Minor League Baseball team and completed two internships with collegiate athletic departments (NCAA Division II & NCAA Division III). In her free time, Julie volunteers as the Hoop Shoot Coordinator for the Cranford Elks Club, Logistics Volunteer for the NYC Pride March, and is on the Executive Board for her beloved rugby club, the Lady Mudturtles.
Lynn Barattucci
Senior Transportation Coordinator

Lynn is a lifelong resident of Scotch Plains, NJ! She attended Scotch Plains Fanwood High School. From 1997-2012, Lynn was employed by the Township of Scotch Plains Police Department as a Public Safety Dispatcher. Currently, Lynn works as the Senior Transportation Coordinator, planning and providing transportation services for senior citizens in the community. Services include transportation to club activities, shopping trips, and medical appointments.

Chris was born and raised in Fanwood, NJ, where he still resides with his family. He has been with Scotch Plains Recreation for 33 years. Chris began as the Assistant Greens Superintendent and now serves as the Facility Manager for the Township of Scotch Plains. He is married with two college-aged children. In his free time, Chris enjoys playing golf and hiking.
