Property Survey

In many cases your property survey is required not only when adding on to your home with an addition or deck but also when adding a second structure on the property or installing a pool/spa/hot tub.  Property surveys can be found with your mortgage and closing papers which you received at your home’s closing.

Street Opening Permits

Street opening permits are required whenever work is performed where you are going into the street or behind the curb either by adding or repairing a water line or when cutting curbing.  The fee for a street opening is $40.00 and approval is required by the Engineering Department.  If the road has been repaved within five years or newer than an infrared patching is required. Vacant Property Registration (VPR)

The owner of any vacant property as defined by Ordinance 2018-23 shall, within 14 calendar days after the building becomes vacant property or within 14 calendar days after assuming ownership of the vacant property, whichever is later; or within 14 calendar days of notice by the municipality, file a registration statement for such vacant property with the Construction Code Official.
